Description

Cheesy Ranch Potatoes and Smoked Sausage is an irresistible dish that combines savory smoked sausage with tender baby potatoes, coated in ranch seasoning and topped with melted cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound smoked sausage (halal-certified, no pork)
  • 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (halal-certified)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the halved baby potatoes and olive oil. Toss to coat the potatoes evenly.
  3. Add the ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the potatoes, and mix well.
  4. Place the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Slice the smoked sausage and distribute it evenly over the potatoes.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  8. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve with sour cream on the side.

Notes

  • Ensure the smoked sausage is halal-certified to meet dietary preferences.
  • You can substitute baby potatoes with russet potatoes as long as they are chopped into smaller pieces.
  • Feel free to experiment with different cheese varieties for a unique flavor.
