Description

A delicious snack made with mozzarella and ham, perfectly baked for a crispy texture.


Ingredients

  • 12 fresh egg roll wrappers
  • 12 thin slices honey ham, quality deli style
  • 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping
  • Ranch dressing, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Lay one egg roll wrapper diagonally on a clean surface. Layer a slice of ham in the centre, then place a mozzarella string cheese stick on top of the ham.
  3. Fold the side corners of the wrapper tightly over the filling. Roll up from the bottom, keeping the wrapper snug. Seal the edges using a dab of water to prevent cheese from leaking.
  4. Repeat assembly and rolling for all twelve sticks.
  5. Place sticks seam-side down on the prepared tray. Brush each stick evenly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic salt.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden. Flip each stick and continue baking for an additional 4 to 5 minutes until crisp throughout.
  7. Let cool briefly, then serve hot with marinara sauce and ranch dressing for dipping.

  • Ensure the egg roll wrappers are kept covered while assembling to prevent them from drying out.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding Italian seasoning to the olive oil.
