- 12 fresh egg roll wrappers
- 12 thin slices honey ham, quality deli style
- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
- Ranch dressing, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Lay one egg roll wrapper diagonally on a clean surface. Layer a slice of ham in the centre, then place a mozzarella string cheese stick on top of the ham.
- Fold the side corners of the wrapper tightly over the filling. Roll up from the bottom, keeping the wrapper snug. Seal the edges using a dab of water to prevent cheese from leaking.
- Repeat assembly and rolling for all twelve sticks.
- Place sticks seam-side down on the prepared tray. Brush each stick evenly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic salt.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden. Flip each stick and continue baking for an additional 4 to 5 minutes until crisp throughout.
- Let cool briefly, then serve hot with marinara sauce and ranch dressing for dipping.
Notes
- Ensure the egg roll wrappers are kept covered while assembling to prevent them from drying out.
- For extra flavor, consider adding Italian seasoning to the olive oil.
