Ingredients
Scale
- 2 sheets of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, gouda, or mozzarella)
- 10–12 slices of bacon (thinly sliced)
- Optional: Fresh herbs (like rosemary) or spices (such as paprika) for added flavor
Instructions
- Prepare the Pastry
Roll out one puff pastry sheet on a clean surface. Sprinkle grated cheese evenly over the pastry. Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top and press down firmly to seal, especially around the edges. - Cut & Twist
Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the layered pastry into strips about 2 fingers wide. Fold each strip in half lengthwise, pressing gently. Wrap each strip with a slice of bacon, creating a spiral effect. - Air Fryer Time
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F). Arrange the twists in the air fryer basket, leaving a bit of space between each. Air fry for 13–15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. (Note: Baking time may vary by air fryer.) - Serve
Let cool slightly and serve warm with your favorite dips!
Notes
- Cheese Choices: Cheddar and gouda are great options, but feel free to try pepper jack, mozzarella, or Parmesan for different flavors.
- Dips: These twists pair well with honey mustard, ranch, garlic aioli, or spicy ketchup.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
