Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 1-quart baking dish and set aside.
- In a small skillet over medium heat, toast pecan halves with vegetable oil for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant. Transfer to a plate.
- Layer yam rounds evenly in the prepared baking dish.

- Pour glaze evenly over yams and gently toss to coat thoroughly.
- Cover baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil, gently toss yams, and bake uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes until yams are tender and glaze has thickened.
- Sprinkle toasted pecans over yams immediately before serving.
