Description
These Butterscotch Brownies are a delightful treat, rich in flavor and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup pecans (finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar, stirring until well mixed.
- Add the eggs one at a time, incorporating each fully before adding the next, along with the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add half the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stir until incorporated, then add the remaining flour and mix until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped pecans and butterscotch chips, scraping down the bowl to ensure even mixing.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, checking for doneness at 25 minutes. The top should be golden and shiny with a slightly cracked appearance.
- Allow to cool completely before removing from the pan and cutting into servings.
Notes
- Be careful not to overbake, as this will dry out the brownies.
- These brownies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for several days.
