Description
Brie Cheese Bread is a delicious and elegant appetizer made with melted Brie cheese, crispy prosciutto, and garnished with honey and pistachios.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 slices prosciutto
- 1 sourdough bread loaf or baguette, halved
- 8 ounces Brie cheese
- 2–3 tablespoons roasted and salted pistachios, crushed or chopped
- 2 tablespoons hot honey
- 1–2 teaspoons fresh or dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F. Arrange prosciutto slices into small nests on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until crisp. Remove and cool.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place one half of the sourdough loaf in the center. Slice Brie cheese and arrange evenly over the bread surface, reserving any remaining slices.
- While the bread bakes, chop the cooled prosciutto into small pieces.
- Bake the prepared bread in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the Brie cheese is completely melted.
- Remove bread from oven. Immediately drizzle hot honey over the surface, then evenly sprinkle with chopped prosciutto, crushed pistachios, thyme, and sea salt. Using a sharp knife, slice carefully and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more hot honey.
- Feel free to substitute pistachios with your favorite nuts.
- This dish is best served warm straight from the oven.
