Description

A delicious BBQ Bacon Pineapple Burger that combines juicy beef, smoky bacon, and sweet pineapple for a unique flavor experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of 93% lean ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons of tangy barbecue sauce, split
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 brioche buns with a soft texture
  • 4 slices of juicy pineapple, ½ inch thick, and cored
  • 8 pieces of uncooked smoked bacon

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 400°F. Cover a big baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top that’s safe for the oven.
  2. In a big bowl, gently mix the ground beef with 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, pepper, and salt. Avoid mixing too much.
  3. Split the meat mixture into 4 equal portions of about 4 ounces each. Shape them into patties roughly 3 ½ inches wide and ½ inch thick.
  4. Lay 2 bacon slices in a cross shape, then center one patty over them. Place a pineapple slice on top, wrap the bacon around, and secure it with a toothpick.
  5. Repeat the wrapping process for each patty and arrange them all on the lined baking sheet.
  6. Let patties bake for 15 minutes. Then take them out to brush 2 more tablespoons of barbecue sauce over the bacon. Pop them back into the oven for another 10-15 minutes, until the center hits 160°F.
  7. Toast your burger buns while waiting for the patties to finish cooking—if you’d like.
  8. Give the cooked patties a 5-minute rest before serving them on buns. Add extra toppings like lettuce, onion, or cheese if you’d like.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of barbecue sauce to your taste.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the pineapple slices in the barbecue sauce before grilling.
  • Serve with coleslaw or potato chips for a complete meal.
