Description
Apple Caramel Bombs Easy are a delightful treat combining tender apples, soft caramel, and flaky biscuit dough, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 8 soft caramel candies
- 2 medium apples, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon butter for cooking
- 2 tablespoons melted butter for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add finely chopped apples, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and begin to caramelize. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Separate biscuit dough into individual rounds. Flatten each round gently using your fingers or the back of a spoon.
- Spoon approximately 1 tablespoon of apple filling into the center of each dough round. Place 1 caramel candy on top of the filling.
- Carefully gather the dough around the filling and caramel, pinching the edges firmly to seal and form a ball.
- Position the filled dough balls seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
- Brush the tops of each dough ball with the melted butter.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and dough is fully cooked.
- Optional: Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with crushed peanuts if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Allow the apple filling to cool slightly before filling the dough to avoid melting the caramel too quickly.
- Feel free to substitute with different fruits if desired.
