- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and half of the sliced almonds, reserving the rest for topping.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart, then press remaining sliced almonds on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown, then cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
